"I am drawn to the destination of the image ... the final print, the framed display, a page in an album. Everything is done prior to that to get it there."
Chelle Fazal lives in Mount Pleasant, with her husband, Mahmood, and her toddler, Evan. Her most recent work is in the subject of fish and crabs, but has also done other animals including horses and abstract paintings. Since her son was born, she has taken up photography and is learning from Charleston's best photographer, who also happens to be her husband. "I really enjoy photographing children but also enjoy the endless options there are once the photo is taken. I love putting together artistic collages and albums. This is my current creative outlet. Finding different forms of expression is so important to me. The health benefits have impacted every part of my life. Restoration, for me, often comes through the creative process."
